These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and The Echo Company (“we,” “us,” or “our”). They cover your use of our website, forms, and communications (the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

If you sign a separate client or service agreement with us, that agreement controls where it conflicts with these Terms.

1. Important disclosures about VA claims

We are not the VA. The Echo Company is a private, veteran-owned business. We are not part of, sponsored by, or endorsed by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, any state department of veterans affairs, or any veterans service organization.

Free help is available. You do not need to pay anyone to file a VA claim. Accredited veterans service organizations, such as your county veterans service office, DAV, VFW, and The American Legion, help veterans for free. You can find accredited representatives at va.gov.

We cannot speed up the VA. The VA alone decides your claim and how long it takes.

2. No guarantees

We do not guarantee any rating, approval, benefit amount, or timeline. Results depend on your records, your circumstances, and VA decisions. Testimonials and examples on our site reflect individual experiences and are not a promise of your results.

3. Not legal or medical advice

Content on our website, social media, and in general communications is for educational and informational purposes only. It is not legal, medical, or financial advice. Always talk with a qualified professional about your specific situation.

4. Who can use the Services

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding agreement. You agree that the information you give us is true, accurate, and your own, or that you are authorized to share it.

5. Fees

Browsing our website and requesting a free consultation cost nothing. Any fees for paid services will be explained in writing and agreed to in a separate client agreement before work begins.

6. Your responsibilities

  • Give us accurate and complete information.
  • Keep your VA.gov, ID.me, and Login.gov passwords private. Never share them with us.
  • Review anything you submit to the VA before you sign it. You are responsible for what you submit.
  • Use our secure upload link for sensitive documents.

7. Calls, texts, and emails

By giving us your phone number or email, you agree that we may contact you about your inquiry and our services, as described in our Privacy Policy. Marketing texts are sent only with your consent, and consent is not required to buy anything. Reply STOP to opt out at any time.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Services for anything illegal or fraudulent, including submitting false information to the VA.
  • Upload viruses or harmful code, or try to access systems or data you are not authorized to access.
  • Scrape, copy, or resell our content without written permission.
  • Pretend to be someone else or misrepresent your connection to anyone.

9. Our content

The Echo Company name, logo, website design, text, graphics, and videos belong to us or our licensors. You may view and share our content for personal, non-commercial use with credit to The Echo Company. Any other use needs our written permission.

10. Links to other websites

Our site may link to other websites, including va.gov. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT PROMISE THE WEBSITE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR ALWAYS AVAILABLE.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, THE ECHO COMPANY WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE WEBSITE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE WEBSITE WILL NOT EXCEED $100. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THESE LIMITS, SO THEY MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

13. Indemnification

You agree to cover our reasonable losses, including legal fees, if a claim arises from your misuse of the Services or your violation of these Terms.

14. Resolving disputes

Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us at (858) 886-8669 so we can try to resolve it informally within 30 days.

15. Changes and termination

We may update these Terms and will post the new version here with a new effective date. Continuing to use the Services means you accept the changes. We may suspend access to the Services for anyone who violates these Terms.
